Mr. Nigel Hosein

Orchestra Director at Cobb Middle School

Mr. Nigel Hosein is the talented and dedicated Orchestra Director at Cobb Middle School, and under his leadership, the orchestra program has achieved incredible success!

During his time at Cobb, Mr. Hosein has expanded opportunities for our young musicians, including the creation of a new Chamber Ensemble, providing an advanced, "varsity-level" experience for our top performers. His dedication has also led to the selection of several musicians for the elite TMEA Region 24 All-Region Orchestra, a prestigious honor that showcases the talent within our orchestra.

Mr. Hosein’s guidance shines through in the orchestra’s success at UIL ensemble competitions, where the program consistently earns Superior ratings (1), a testament to his hard work and the efforts of his students. With over 100 musicians under his direction, we are confident that this year will be another triumphant one for Mr. Hosein and the Cobb Middle School Orchestra.

Mr. Jeff Walters

Harp Director at Cobb Middle School

Mr. Jeff Walters has been an integral part of FISD for nearly 10 years, sharing his passion for music and expertise with students across multiple campuses. In addition to directing our talented Cobb Harpists, Mr. Walters also teaches at Staley Middle School, Frisco High School, and Wakeland High School.

Did you know that FISD has the largest curricular harp program in the entire country with over 75 musicians? Mr. Walters plays a key role in this incredible program. He is also a major contributor to the annual FISD Harp Recital, which brings together harpists from all over the district to showcase their exceptional talent and achievements.

Mr. Walters’ passion for the harp and dedication to his students beautifully reflect the Cobb Orchestra’s mission to foster a love of self, family, school, and community through music. His students consistently demonstrate this through the breathtaking music they create.

We are so fortunate to have Mr. Walters as part of our program and look forward to the continued impact he will have on our harpists!
